Division of World Outreach
No outcry for equality or plea for justice, no matter how distant the source, can ever be considered too remote for Christian concern. Volunteers frequently achieve what governments are seemingly powerless to correct. As true partners mission outreach seeks to empower those most affected to devise their own appropriate solutions within their own local conditions.
The United Church seeks to share with partner churches and agencies God's mission, embodied in Jesus Christ, for wholeness, love and justice for all people and creation.
The Division of World Outreach is the committee of London Conference of the United Church of Canada with a focus on global concerns. We aim to educate members about global justice and peace, to raise awareness of global social issues and encourage people to be active in the mission work of the church. Recent activities of the Division include the following:
hosting workshops on peace making; ♦ sponsoring a visit of 10 people to the Christian Council of Mozambique in August 2008 - share their experiences here. ♦ supporting the Christian Council of Mozambique in developing medicinal gardens in Mozambique ♦ learning about the situation in Darfur

Who are We? To worship, to sing in joy, to grow and stretch,

In the name of the Spirit, who sustains us,
Let God’s name be praised.
We are the people who have come to learn,
We are the people who can teach each other,
We are different,
We are the same,
We are the people of God,
We are the people of the church,
Why are we here?
To share our stories and our skills,
To strengthen our leadership in God’s church, and
To renew our commitment to struggle for the
Coming of justice throughout the world.
